Edna Waller, gifted education teacher for Grades 2-4, has created a pair of comprehensive science and math programs at Magnolia Park Elementary School in Ocean Springs that provide experiential learning opportunities to all the elementary schools in the district. Mrs. Waller's "Classroom for All Seasons" is an outdoor nature trail and environmental center, for which her students helped develop lesson plans. She created an indoor laboratory called the PRISM (Problem-Solving and Reasoning Skills through Investigations in Science and Mathematics) Project, which includes technology and resource materials for teachers and students. A member of the Mississippi Teacher Forum and Exemplary Teacher Program, Mrs. Waller received National Board Certification in 1995.
