As principal of Illing Junior High School in Manchester, Richard Lindgren emphasizes to his staff the importance of strong leadership and good judgement. An educator for over 25 years, Dr. Lindgren also serves as an adjunct college professor and is an active member of a number of professional organizations, including the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the sate Principals Academy. Because he instituted such projects as the district wide Career Incentive Program, the U.S. Department of Education in 1983 designated Illing as one of the country's most successful schools.
