In addition to teaching kindergarten at Highland Elementary School in Cheshire, Pamela Granucci has published articles on early childhood education in a number of academic journals. Through her involvement with many professional organizations, Dr. Granucci has influenced the development of regional and state programs for early childhood education. In the classroom, she encourages parents to participate as readers and writing assistants. She nurtures her students' budding literacy by incorporating reading and writing into their daily activities. Her interest in early literacy and oral language development led to membership on the committee to develop Connecticut's "Guide to Program Development in Kindergarten."
