Gladys Labas, Ph. D. is principal at Maloney High School in Meridan where she strives daily to make a difference in the lives of the students in her school. Dr. Labas has developed a child-study program for at-risk students of the middle and senior high schools of Meridan and has also developed an immersion model program in bilingual education. She serves as a role model to her students by promoting a positive image through teamwork, understanding, and trust. Dr. Labas prefers to guide her administrators and students toward common goals by allowing them to develop their own leadership styles, thus creating a team of leaders.
