In her 20th year as a Fulton County educator, Doris Robertson is principal of Crabapple Middle School, which she opened in 1982. Very much a believer in team effort, she has led her school, her students and their parents to national recognition. In 1987 the Crabapple PTA was named Outstanding PTA in the Southeast and received the National PTA Advocates for Children Award. Her school was a 1988 National School of Excellence and won the National Drug Education Award. Dr. Robertson initiated and directs an international exchange between Crabapple and schools in China, a program that will culminate in a 100-member community delegation to four Chinese cities later this year.
