Biographical Information

Deanna M. Lambert relocated to Florida in 2014. This move brought her back to the classroom. She is currently teaching grade 5 at Town & Country Elementary and was voted Teacher of the Year from her colleagues. Her greatest passion continues to be literacy instruction.

Before becoming assistant principal at Montello Elementary School in Lewiston, Deanna M. Nadeau was a teacher at the school, instrumental in designing activities that helped her second graders learn reading and math. As part of a schoolwide literacy committee, Mrs. Nadeau helped design first- and second- grade literacy labs that provide intensive literacy instruction for Title I students, incorporating a limited class size, educational technicians, guided reading, parental involvement and weekly assessments. This successful program has been observed by educators from throughout the state and has been expanded to include the third grade. Mrs. Nadeau also created Quick Math, a focused, five- to seven-minute paper-and- pencil practice that takes place daily at the beginning of each math workshop. She has made numerous presentations on reading and literacy at the state level, and teaches reading development and instruction part-time at the University of Southern Maine's Lewiston-Auburn College.

Personal Message

I relocated to Florida in December 2013. I taught 3rd and 4th grade at Hudson Elementary School in Pasco County. In 2015 I joined Hillsborough County and have been teaching grade 5 ELA in Tampa. I have made a decision to stay in the classroom. Teaching children to read continues to be my greatest passion. I have been blessed to have a career I love for the last 30 years! Looking forward to the next 10 years...or more!
