David Hollowell is an eleventh and twelfth grade teacher of sociology and U.S. History at Greeneville. Mr. Hollowell is proud to be a professional educator and feels that "an open door, an open mind and an open heart" are the secrets to his success with his students. In 1992, Mr. Hollowell was asked to participate in the Strom Thurmond Scholars Program, which brings scholars from around the world together to discuss international issues. For the past 15 years, he has also served as wrestling coach and assistant football coach. Under Mr. Hollowell's leadership, the wrestling team has won 90 straight home meets over the last 10 years. In addition he is Past President of the Greeneville Education Association and the State of Franklin Social Studies Council and was named Building, System and District I Teacher of the Year.
