Dallas Eggers, technology instructor at Cannon Falls Area Elementary School in Cannon Falls, is helping to develop the next generation of computer wizards. Through a program called "Tech Masters," Mr. Eggers trains volunteer students to become computer technicians responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Cannon Falls' computers. Last summer, the tech masters assembled and brought more than 100 computers on-line, setting up the system software and printers. A former Mississippi riverboat captain, he is also committed to piloting fellow teachers in the use of technology. Mr. Eggers has been an educator for eight years.
