To help her students at Noe Middle School in Louisville prepare for the 21st century, technology resource teacher Cynthia Crocker encourages them - as well as their parents and school staff - to view and use technology as a tool for the real world. Ms. Crocker initiated the statewide Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) at Noe, through which students are trained to become technology teachers for the school and community. These students also play a key role in the Parent Laptop Checkout Program, which she began as a way to provide technology and training to families without computers. A member of the STLP District Advisory Council, Ms. Crocker is also a former state Instructional Technology Leader.
