As the Math and science resource teacher Christine Michael conveyed an infectious enthusiasm for learning to her students and colleagues at Irwin Elementary School, a science-math magnet school in Fort Wayne, IN. With her wide arsenal of instructional techniques and approaches, she helped teachers expand their focus by integrating math and science across the curriculum, giving lessons real-life relevance.
It is amazing to be able to give back to my community now that I have retired from full-time teaching. I currently on the Board of Directors of The Lutheran Foundation, which funds many education and health-related organizations in our area.
