Dr. Kates joined the Equitable Education Solutions (EES) staff in the summer of 2023 as a member of the Strategic Planning and Implementation team. Chris supports school improvement efforts across the state of Indiana. Prior to joining the EES staff, Chris spent the last decade serving as an instructional coach, worked for the Indiana Department of Education, and most recently was as an elementary school principal. Chris graduated from Indiana University, holds his Masters from the IUPUI Urban Principal Program, and in 2019 received his Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Indiana State University.
