Cheryl Jackson's dedication to teaching and love for children transform her fourth graders at Zitzman Elementary School in Pacific into proud learners and strong citizens. Her project-oriented curriculum, which combines technology with hands-on learning and character education, promotes a classroom culture of enthusiastic learning and mutual respect. In addition to publishing the school's yearbook and co-chairing its Student Recognition Committee, Mrs. Jackson established and co-sponsors the school's student council. She led the revision of the fourth-grade curriculum and has mentored and supervised new and student teachers. As the recipient of a Lead Teacher for Technology Grant, Mrs. Jackson plays an active role in promoting the integration of technology with instruction through effective staff development.
