Recipient of the Connecticut Teachers of the Year Award for 1990, Charles Zezulka teaches reading to the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students at Carl C. Cutter Middle School in Mystic. A veteran of 25 years in the profession, Mr. Zezulka has served as cooperating teacher, mentor, and assessor for the Connecticut State Department of Education and specifically on the Teacher Preparation Program Approval Review Committee. Mr. Zezulka takes an analytical and reflective approach to teaching, and continuously strives to improve his methods and curriculum. "I embrace teaching wholeheartedly," Mr. Zezulka says. "It is my life's blood."
