Charles Rodkey teaches science and mathematics to grades seven through twelve at South Fayette Township Junior-Senior High School in McDonald. In reference to the Cooperative Satellite Learning Project at South Fayette that he created and has administered for the past four years, Mr. Rodkey is pleased that he has been able "to work in an educational partnership with Allied Signal Technical Services Corporation, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, community businesses, parents in the district and six high schools in four states." Beyond giving students an excellent grounding in relevant content areas, the project has also integrated areas of the curriculum, exposed students to national professional conferences, involved them in working relationships with renowned scientists and included them as active participants in the NASA program. Mr. Rodkey is the 1994 recipient of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center NASA Teamwork Award.
