Brenton Young currently serves as the Team Lead for Wyoming's Accreditation Peer Review process. During his time as Chief Policy Officer for the Wyoming Department of Education, his division took on the task of developing and implementing a new model for accreditation for school districts. The model, based on research and collaboration, has been in use for the past five years and is receiving strong reviews by Wyoming's superintendents. Brenton also serves as a student teaching supervisor to elementary teacher candidates attending the University of Wyoming. He also works as a Preschool to School Transition Liaison in his local school district. In this role, he supports families and school teams to help with the transition process for children moving into kindergarten with a special emphasis on those children identified with a disability. Mr. Young has 15 years teaching experience and another 19 years of administrative experience. As an administrator, he has served as a principal, district administrator, and Chief Policy Officer for the State of Wyoming's Department of Education. He has served as a member of Wyoming's Professional Teaching Standards Board, and as the chairman of the Wyoming State Board of Education.
