Brad Larsen, the new principal of Valley Elementary School in Huntsville, brings with him a reputation for innovation and excellence that he developed as principal of his previous school, North Ogden Elementary. In four years, Mr. Larsen's systematic mastery learning program helped North Ogden's fourth-graders achieve the highest standardized test scores in the district. He also fostered computer literacy among North Ogden's students and staff with a three-year technology program that included acquisition of materials, development of an effective curriculum, and specialized training. In addition, Mr. Larsen established a comprehensive inclusion program at North Ogden that resulted in improved achievement and greater tolerance among all students.
