Bonnie P. Murray, fifth-grade teacher at Tony Alamo Elementary School in Las Vegas, returned to classroom teaching last year after seven years as a new teacher trainer and mentor on special assignment for the Clark County School District. A certified trainer for the Educational Testing Service's (ETS) PATHWISE program for new teacher induction and mentoring, Miss Murray has written another book called Designing Coherent Instruction, to be published by ETS. She has also been heavily involved in developing and delivering instruction and support for the district's Alternative Route to Licensure program, which has netted hundreds of high-quality bilingual and early childhood teachers.
