Beverly McKillip, biological science teacher at Elkhorn Valley School in rural Tilden, uses technology to provide students with access to the world beyond their small town. At her former school in Pender, Mrs. McKillip was a member of the NASA Explorer School. Her team was selected to participate in NASA's KC-135 weightlessness experiments. Students at Pender also developed density experiments that were conducted at Johnson Space Center in 2004. Mrs. McKillip has conducted workshops for the Nebraska Math and Science Initiative.
