New York Milken MeetUp
The New York Milken MeetUp is grounded in the vision to build community among all Milken Educators within New York State. Our mission is to maintain connections among our network of outstanding education professionals, who are on the pathway to Elevate! and Activate! in their professional career within New York State and beyond.
We gather via videoconferencing three times per year so our members, who live across approximately 400 miles, can attend. Our first virtual MeetUp was held in March 2024 with more than three quarters of NY Milken Educators in attendance. We discuss the latest news at the state education department, the Milken Educator website, and we spotlight a Milken Educator within our state or invite guest speakers from New York State agencies, programs, schools, districts, cultural organizations and nonprofits. They focus on educational topics with relevance collectively for our network and individually to Milken Educators. The NY Milken MeetUp leverages the talents and expertise of our own NYS members as well as other educational entities to create an inspiring professional learning experience for all. This model has been replicated in other Milken state networks, such as Florida and California.
