Indiana

Our mission is to form connections with preservice and early-career educators to inspire and sustain them in the formative years of their careers in education. Our initial launch has been the formation of a Speakers Bureau. To encourage and inform aspiring teachers, we have joined forces with college and university professors. We have served as guest speakers in person and through Zoom as individuals and as panels of experienced teachers, and as guests on a single occasion or in a series of talks. Professors determined the topic, as dictated by the course curriculum or their knowledge of the students’ needs.

During the first year of our initiative, we led panel presentations at the University of Indianapolis and Ball State University for preservice teachers.

Additionally, we partnered with Purdue University’s Educator Success Program to provide virtual development for educators who are in their first few years of teaching.

We are looking forward to a series of presentations with Culver Academy and continued presentations at Ball State University and Purdue. This initiative has already positively impacted educators throughout Indiana.
