NV Milken Educators Welcome Special Education Teacher Joseph Kielminski

 

New Milken Educator Joseph Kielminski (NV '23) works with a student in the classroom after his Milken Educator Award assembly. In addition to general education subjects, Joseph's special education classes prepare students for their future beyond graduation. "We teach kids what's next after high school," he says. "For a lot of kids, they're in my class until they're 22 years old. There's a lot of work that can be done in that time. We get them ready for real-life experiences, job training, and independent living. There's a lot that goes into our classroom and the kids are better off in the end."
