Emily Rendine Wins First Milken Award of 2022-23 Season

 

Back in the classroom, third graders gather around Emily Rendine and her oversized $25,000 Milken Educator Award check. One of the students' favorite activities: tending the school garden, which helps them understand water conservation and the value of green space in urban communities. Emily Rendine secured grants to create the garden, which is cared for by the local Boys and Girls Club during the summer.
