Math Teacher Nichole Bowman Wins SD Award

 

 

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem congratulates Nichole Bowman on her Milken Educator Award. "I hope you all know that your teachers get up every single day and their first thought is of you," the governor tells students. "When [Nichole Bowman] lays her head down at night, she's thinking about you and your future."

Nichole has worked with the South Dakota Department of Education (SDDOE) on reviewing and revising state content standards in math. She led regional best practices workshops for math educators and worked with the department to explore policies to address the needs of her district’s increasingly diverse population.
