Still reeling from his huge surprise, Southwest Junior High School Principal Omar Duron addresses students and colleagues as Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, looks on. "This award shines light on our school, district and community," he says. "I'm a product of Gadsden schools. This is the biggest honor."
