Krystal Contreras Gets Surprise of a Lifetime in TX

 

 

Back in the classroom, Krystal Contreras dives right back into a complex writing lesson. The fourth-grade writing teacher holds her students to the highest of standards. From the 2016-17 school year to the 2017-18 school year, there was a five percent increase in the school’s fourth-graders who passed end-of-year writing assessments, from 82% to 87%. Both years, the percentage was the highest in the district.
