The teacher who is about to win the Milken Educator Award also gets a cash prize. How much? One digit at a time, students hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When Hawaii State Department of Education Superintendent Dr. Christina Kishimoto brings in the final zero, the room starts to buzz: $25,000!
