The Milken Educator Award includes a cash prize—but how much? One digit at a time, Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, asks volunteers to hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When Dr. Darla Strouse, executive director of partnerships for the Maryland Department of Education, holds up the final zero, there's an audible gasp around the room: That's $25,000!
