Trick AND Treat, Katherine Bobby—You're a Milken Educator!

 

 

Flanked by her colleagues, Katherine Bobby addresses the assembly gathered in her honor at Eagle View Elementary. "Together, we are rewriting the narrative of the Somerset Area School District," she says. "This is not the district I joined eleven years ago. We are so much better. ... We are rewriting our legacy in this town and for this community."

At Eagle View, Bobby leads professional development, contributes to professional learning communities, serves on the ELA committee, designed a framework for peer observations, and mentors both new and student teachers in special education and ELA. As part of the Sunshine Committee, she takes a lead role in creating high morale and a positive culture for staff.
