The special guest is Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, who tells the assembly that teachers have the most important job: preparing every student for a bright future. Because educators are too seldom recognized for their work, Milken created the Milken Educator Awards, an important national honor for outstanding teachers and principals. And this year, one of those outstanding educators is right here at Vestavia Hills!
