STEM Star Erika Klose Wins WV Milken Award

Milken Educator Award recipient Erika Klose and U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito memorialize Klose's big day with a photo. The two have worked together before. In her efforts to motivate girls to consider STEM careers, Klose recruited Capito and Toyota, a large local employer, to join the school for an assembly about women in STEM, then took a group of girls to a career center to encourage them to explore STEM career options often thought of as traditionally male roles.
