U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito embraces science teacher Erika Klose, West Virginia's 2017-18 Milken Educator Award recipient as First Lady Cathy Leigh Comer Justice and West Virginia Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steven Paine look on. Paine received the state's Milken Educator Award himself in 1995, when he was the principal at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School in Buckhannon.
