Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, tells the assembly that she is at Pioneer School to present one outstanding teacher with a national award and a cash prize. But how much? One digit at a time, students Luke Winningham, Aubrey Newberry, Hunter Bevel, Gwen Bjerklund and David Padilla hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. Dr. Salam Noor, Oregon's deputy superintendent of public instruction, brings in the final zero: $25,000!
