Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, tells the assembly that the prestigious Milken Award comes with a cash prize. But how much? Student volunteers hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly M. Spearman brings in the final zero for a grand total of $25,000, the crowd erupts in cheers and applause.
