Dr. Melody Tucker Wins Alabama 2015-16 Milken Educator Award

Dr. Melody Tucker accepts Alabama's 2015-16 Milken Educator Award from Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, as Dr. Tommy Bice, Alabama state superintendent of education, looks on proudly. When Foley asks the new Award recipient where she gets her passion for science, Tucker credits her own teachers. "When I was in middle school and high school, I had wonderful teachers who made me love science and learning," Tucker says. "I wanted to make it my lifelong goal to share my love of learning and hopefully inspire other students to have the same thing." (Click here to watch Tucker's surprise notification video.)
