Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, asks student volunteers to hold cards spelling out the amount of the cash prize the winning teacher will receive. Michigan Superintendent of Education Brian J. Whiston holds up the final zero, bringing the total to $25,000.
