Brittany Matsushino's student council showers her with congratulations after her surprise Milken Educator Award presentation. Matsushino is a student council teacher; in 2014-15 she served as the council's co-sponsor, coordinating events and boosting enthusiasm and morale to unprecedented levels. Students apply to participate on the council, earning points for good grades and citizenship.
