Milken Educator Award winner Courtney Matulka addresses the crowd gathered in the gym at Beadle Middle School. As head of the science department, Matulka is known for her work ethic and has created a collegial environment where all science teachers see themselves as a collective unit working toward a common goal. District curriculum and staff development offices seek her out for leadership on district committees.
