Courtney Matulka Named NE 2015-16 Milken Educator

Science teacher Courtney Matulka gets high fives from cheering students as she makes her way to the front of the gym to accept her Milken Educator Award. Matulka says she became a teacher because she adored her own high school history teacher and the way he made history come alive for her. Why did she choose to teach science? "I wanted to be part of helping students to love science because of all the innovation and change in science that’s all around them everywhere," she says.
