Yamilet Lopez's Milken Award Surprise In Sparks, NV

A celebration of student achievement at Alice Maxwell Elementary turns into the surprise of a lifetime when Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises kindergarten teacher Yamilet Lopez with a Nevada Milken Award and $25,000. Nevada Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone M. Ebert, Washoe County School District board members and media joined in for the teacher's big day.
