Rosemary Culverwell (IL '91) passed away at age 89 on November 28, 2023. At the time of her Milken Award, Rosemary was the principal of F.W. Reilly Elementary School in Chicago. She served as principal for 17 years and was known for her tireless dedication to the community and her unwavering commitment to education. Rosemary dedicated her life to education, serving as the former principal of CPS Reilly Elementary School. Her passion for teaching left a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. In addition to the Milken Award, she also received the Citizen's Schools Committee Outstanding Principal Award in 1987, the Whiman Award in 1990 and the Local School Council Illinois Bell-Ameritech Award in 1991.
