The 2011 Milken Educator Award for the state of Vermont went to Essex High School science teacher Maria Ung. "One teacher in his or her career has the power to positively influence thousands of young peoples' lives," said Milken Family Foundation Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley (IN '94).
