Two Big Milken Award Celebrations in Texas

Howdy, Texas! The Milken Family Foundation surprised two Lone Star State teachers with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards in front of students, colleagues, visiting dignitaries, veteran Milken Educators and media. Fourth grade teacher Jenna Dean at Helena Park Elementary in Nederland and third grade teacher Diana Lopez at BASIS San Antonio Primary Medical Center received "the Oscar of Teaching" from MEA Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley, along with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Education Commissioner Mike Morath.
