Biographical Information

Wayne Tanaka serves as principal of Del Robison Junior High School in the Clark County School District. Credited with creating a positive school environment, he has developed a resident artist program, community partnerships with local businesses and the Lions Club Self-Esteem program. Mr. Tanaka has also coordinated a "Pay-Back Program", which encourages community members to contribute time and materials to the school, and he maintains an open-door policy for parents and staff alike. He currently serves on the Nevada State Council on the Arts and chairs the State Department of Education Special Education Council.
