Biographical Information
Eric Kincaid's science classes at Morgantown High School in Morgantown are highly popular with students for the innovative and interesting activities he conducts, such as a mock murder mystery that challenges students to develop their forensics skills. An advocate of learning by discovery, Mr. Kincaid involves students in hands-on labs, distance learning, technology, team activities and research. He operates the school's Health Science Technology Academy program, which offers participants the opportunity to receive full tuition to any West Virginia college or university. He initiated the school's Advanced Placement biology program and created a semester-long scientific continuum project for ninth-grade honors students, the results of which are often cited in college-level papers. Mr. Kincaid teaches at West Virginia University, presents workshops at state, regional and national science teacher conferences, and has traveled on educational excursions to Costa Rica.
